The PLUSS Framework (Sanford, Brown & Turner, 2012) was created to enhance existing instructional and intervention programs with linguistic and cultural supports for EL students (ELs). We have now made the book available in Spanish so that it is accessible to more instructors, schools, and their teams and further support EL students in their academic environment.

We are excited to share with you our latest publication. The PLUSS Framework (Sanford, Brown & Turner, 2012) was created to enhance existing instructional and intervention programs with linguistic and cultural supports for EL students (ELs). Linked here are two PowerPoints that describe Video Self-reflection Professional Development process. Additionally, there is a Word document that summarizes the video self-reflection process and a second document that is a self-observation rubric. The PLUSS booklet can also be used as a self-observation rubric and contains more description of the components than the Word document. We have found that after working with teachers on a new strategy, the video self-reflection process is an effective way for teachers to practice, self-reflect, and to adjust their instruction.
